About Us

Welcome to the Congo Democratic Project (CDP)

The Congo Democratic Project (CDP) is a nonprofit organization founded by Congolese living in the United States and their committed allies. We advocate for peace, democracy, social justice, and good governance in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), while raising awareness among the American public about the country’s ongoing crisis.

Through civic engagement, political advocacy, and concrete action, CDP seeks to amplify the voice of the Congolese diaspora and support the rebuilding of a free, just, and prosperous Congo.

Together, let’s work for a dignified and lasting future for the DRC.

OUR MISSION

  • Promote democratic, transparent, and accountable governance in the DRC;
  • Fight corruption, dictatorship, and impunity;
  • Educate Congolese citizens on their civic rights and responsibilities;
  • Mobilize the Congolese diaspora in the U.S. around a national transformation agenda;
  • Influence U.S. public policy in favor of peace, justice, and stability in the Congo.
