'I have done really well to represent myself'

Athletics - women's 200m final

Team GB's Daryll Neita speaking to BBC TV after finishing fifth in the 200m final: "All in all it has been a fantastic Olympic Games for me. I am a double finalist. Fourth place in the 100m by a couple of hundredths and the same here. I know my time is coming, I have to be a little bit more patient. Honestly, it has been incredible. I gave it my all tonight in that race and I think I ran a good race.

"I needed to run faster. I'm healthy I have just run six rounds and recovering in between them was a challenge so I have done really well to come out here and represent myself.

"I'm proud of myself but I really wanted to leave here with an individual medal and I am just hungry."

On how the race played out: "For me, I didn't want to just not be competitive at all in the home straight. I did fight all the way to the line which is good but ultimately we wanted to see a medal round my neck, didn't we? I don't have it but I'm very proud of myself, I'm very thankful for my coach Marco, my team, my family, my friends, my supporters and people that give me so much love and encouragement.

"Even making the final and coming fourth the other day, it has been a lot of adrenaline, a lot has been going on so I have stayed composed and handled myself greatly throughout this championships.

"Just a massive thank you to everyone for their support and also a big thank you to National Lottery as well because without the players we wouldn't be here as a team."
